Baptisms

Please call the Parish Office at 529-1397 at least two months prior to the anticipated baptism date.  We will set up an appointment with one of our priests or deacons who will help you schedule the ceremony.

You will also want to pick up a copy of our Baptism brochure (see below) which will answer many of your questions.

We usually schedule Baptisms for children under five years of age on the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM in English.   Spanish language Baptisms are on the first and third Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM.

Prior to the ceremony we simply ask that parents and godparents attend a class on the meaning of the Sacrament and the purpose of the ceremonies. The English language class is held in the Church on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.  The Spanish language classes are held in the Church on the Third Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m. Please call the parish office to reserve a seat(s) in the class of your choice.

Please note that at least one of the Sponsors (Godparents) must be a practicing Catholic.

Children older that seven years of age are actually old enough to participate in the decision to be Baptized. To help them understand what the Sacrament is, he or she may be asked to attend our Religious Education program.

Truly, truly, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.  John 3:3,5
